                                             Statement on the subject of Tsunami:       

 

   I have been training Karate Tsunami with short breaks for 22 years. Training of Karate Tsunami gave me exactly what I expected. In the beginning, as a young boy I wanted to learn fighting, then came the need of improving my form, overall fitness ability and health, as well as developing my movement coordination.

 

   Now Karate Tsunami is my personal way to save what I have reached: self-defence abilities, condition and fitness, health, and thus exceeding my youth. Moreover - thanks to physical trainings and meditations - I immunize myself from stress, which is natural part of times we came to live in.

 

   I can surely tell, that thanks to those advantages I love Karate Tsunami and I encourage to practice it.

Sensei Arthur Marcinkowski 1 dan is well known from very strong and effective technicques. In the photo from left

he attacks with tobi-mae-geri-kekomi, and from right with mae-geri-kekomi, against which his younger brother

sensei Bogdan Marcinkowski 1 dan defended with characteristic for Tsunami descent from the line of attack

to outside, soto-nagashi-uke, with assecurative block soto-ude-uke.

As an creator of all  four mentioned kata, and simultaneously an examiner of sensei Arthur Marcinkowski on 1 dan degree -

soke Richard Murat 10 dan guarantee, that those forms on the DVD mentioned are presented on very high level.

Hareta sora

Sensei Arthur Marcinkowski 1 dan is presenting interpretation od the first part of kata Hareta Sora. As an agressors appeared -

from left: sensei Bogdan Marcinkowski 1 dan (Staroźreby), sensei Slavomir Szczepaniak 1 dan (Krośniewice)

and sensei Robert Wółkiewicz 1 dan (Płock).

"The most important instructors in Poland" in loud book by soke Richard Murat 10 dan "Karate for Beginners and Advanced" (Publisher 'Książka

 i Wiedza', Warsaw 2003 - 1st edition, 2008 - 2nd edition).

Starożreby 

  The team of Staroźreby Tsunami Center, lead by sensei Arthur Marcinkowski 1 dan after IV Karate Tsunami Polish

 Championship (acknowledged as I European Championship) on 16th of November 2008 in Radzionków (Upper Silesia).

Members of this team also win top medal places in different competitions in Tsunami tournaments.

In the center: Marcinkowski brothers, Arhur and Bogdan.  

     

 

                            The concise biography of the mentioned person:

 

Sensei MARCINKOWSKI Artur 1 dan

 

   Tsunami Instructor, teaches in Staroźreby.

 

   Born on 1st of November, year 1970 in Płock.

 

   Secundary education: technic electrician. Occupation: manager - director of corporation department and Tsunami instructor.

 

   Practices Tsunami since 1987 in Płock, for over a dozen years under shihan Paul Przybyszewski 6 dan.

 

   He was also a participant of many groupings (sesshin) and congresses (taikai), including ones in Honbu Dojo in Warsaw, and many Tsunami shows and tournaments.

 

   Sensei Arthur Marcinkowski 1 dan has won top medal places in kata and kumite field in seniors and masters categories in previous Polish Championship.

 

   He is also known for very precise and very strong techniques.

 

   During years 1998-2004 he has been leading classen in Tsunami Center in Płock.

 

   Currently he is conducting classes in Scholar's Karate-do Tsunami Club "Shuriken" in Staroźreby, as well as self-defence courses, in different places all over Mazovian Voivodeship.
    
   In 2004 he graduated to 1st dan degree, and was granted with the title of sensei (jap. 'master - teacher').

 

   He's also an author of 1st dan degree thesis: "Kata Tsunami - Kumo, Haito, Hareta Sora, Matsukaze, the DVD edition". DVD disc with this recording is very precious and educative material to learn Tsunami's kata. Available for purchase for interested.

  
   The younger brother of sensei Arthur Marcinkowski is another well known Tsunami instructor and Polish Championship medallist, sensei Bogdan Marcinkowski 1 dan, who actually lives in Ireland.
